YEREVAN. – By denying the genocide of Armenians and other Christian nations in the Ottoman Empire, Turkey's government shoulders responsibility for these crimes, Deputy Speaker of the Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said.

Moreover, political leaders in Turkey note Armenians among threats to their state.

“This is a textbook example of Armeniaphobia and Nazism,” Sharmazanov said, urging the international community to prevent the birth of “new Hitlers”.

The government of Turkey without solving its domestic problems is trying, with the help of Azerbaijan, to change the format of the OSCE Minsk Group to be engaged in the Karabakh peace process.

In this regard, Sharmazanov noted four key factors:

  • Turkey has noting to do with the Karabakh settlement;

  • the conflict must be solved based on three principles;

  • self-determination of Karabakh people has no alternative;

  • Nagorno-Karabakh will never be a part of Azerbaijan, NKR's independence has no alternative.
