YEREVAN. – Chairman of Armenian National Assembly Galust Sahakyan on Friday received his counterpart from Karabakh Ashot Ghulyan.

Congratulating Ghulyan on re-election to the post of Chairman of the Parliament of Artsakh, Galust Sahakyan noted the importance of holding parliamentary elections in accordance with democratic standards.

He stated the elections had received positive assessments of international organizations that carried out observation mission in Karabakh. The Armenian speaker emphasized that the issue of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is in focus of the Armenian parliament. He highlighted importance of maximum expansion and deepening of cooperation between the parliaments of the two republics.

Chairman of the NKR National Assembly Sahakyan thanked for the warm welcome and cooperation. He praised close cooperation of the permanent parliamentary committees of the two parliaments.
