Presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan held closed-door talks during their visit to Baku.

The Russian side was presented by president's aide Yuri Ushakov, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Energy Minister Alexander Novak, heas of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko and Gazprom chairman Alexey Miller, RIA Novosti reported.

During a photo shoot the presidents exchanged views about the opening ceremony of the European Games. In particular, President Erdogan noted that the ceremony was not attended by EU leaders.

“Turkey, as a candidate country for EU, was representing the entire European Union,” he said.
