YEREVAN. – The European Union is ready to start talks on aviation agreement with Armenia, Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said during the debates on aviation law.
Three days ago the minister met with EU Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc.
“I was told that our colleagues are expected to get a mandate to start talks on signing an agreement on common aviation area with Armenia,” Chshmarityan said.
To finalize the talks, Armenia needs to achieve compliance on several criteria, the Minister added.
The EU has similar agreements signed with the Balkan states, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Molodva and Morocco.
