YEREVAN. – It is impossible to return Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan, former Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Jacques Faure said in Yerevan.

Former Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group said Armenian population of Karabakh does not want any changes in their status. 

“This is my personal conviction. But it is clear that the outlined results has to be expressed by means of free expression of will. Personally I hope this will become possible,” Faure said.

The diplomat added that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan would prefer step-by-step approach.
