The number of interested visitors in the Tigranakert State Historical Reserve—in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh)—grows yearly; this fact is proved by the Tigranakert Tourist Information Center report for January-July 2015.

During the aforesaid period, Tigranakert has had about 7,000 visitors, and this means a 10-percent increase as compared to the same period in 2014.

According to the same source, Tigranakert is primarily visited by the residents of Armenia and Artsakh. But there is an increasing number of foreign tourists, too, comprising almost 40 percent of the annual visits.

The recent years’ archeological excavations in the Tigranakert reserve, development of the infrastructure, and creation of more suitable conditions for tourists also contribute to having more number of visitors.

Tigranakert is one of the most visited sites in the NKR.
