YEREVAN. - By means of the Armenian “Civil Consciousness”(CC) NGO, the Armenian authorities provoked against Heritage party members, Deputy Chairman of Heritage party Aram Martirosyan today told Armenian News – NEWS.am, referring to the today’s scuffle between the NGO and Heritage party members at CC office.

“The authorities have recently started a number of initiatives and NGOs, through which they are trying to give a blow to the political forces. And our party members have naively fallen into a trap,” Martirosyan said.

He presented his version of the incident, according to which “Civil Consciousness” NGO Chairman Narek Samsonyan had allegedly invited Hovsep Ghazaryan to their office to discuss the controversies emerged on the political ground.  In the office 15 NGO members had allegedly attacked the Heritage party members. According to Martirosyan, Hovsep Ghazaryan had suggested going to a café and have a calm talk, but Samsonyan had refused.

Martirosyan also denied that Heritage party member Hovsep Ghazaryan went to the NGO office with 7 party members, saying that they were 5.

Case has been filed with regard to the incident. Investigation is underway.
