Armenia-Georgia electricity transmission line, through which our country will be able to export electricity, is being constructed by the loans provided by KWF bank, Armenia’s PM Hovik Abrahamyan said on the first day of “Baze-2015” Pan-Armenian Youth Assembly.

In his words, Armenia is currently starting very large projects with Iran. “About 10 days ago we signed an agreement on the construction of the third high-voltage transmission line. This means we have Iran-Armenia gas pipeline, which transmits 2 billion cubic meters of gas annually. Now we’re getting 400-450 million cubic meters annually, and provide electricity to Iran in exchange for that gas,” Abrahamyan said.

The third Iran-Armenia electricity transmission line, which costs Euro 107 million, will, according to the PM, activate the economy of the country. “I think we will complete the line construction in 2 years at most,” Abrahamyan said.
