YEREVAN. – The health condition of Arsen Avetisyan—the 51 percent proprietor and also Director of Air Armenia airline company—remains the same.

The press officer Yerevan State Medical University, Aleksandra Harutyunyan, told about the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

She noted that Avetisyan is currently at the Maxillofacial Department, and it is too early to speak about when he will be discharged from hospital.

He has a broken nasal bone as well as fractures in his thigh and ribs. 

Two security service officers are guarding the hospital room of the Air Armenia director.

As reported earlier, Arsen Avetisyan’s wife, Izabella Melkumyan, had petitioned to the President of Armenia with a request to ensure her husband’s safety. 

Melkumyan had stated that her husband was beaten by the bodyguards of Ruben Hayrapetyan, President of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA).

Arsen Avetisyan was beaten by seven or eight people, and in the presence of numerous people.

Avetisyan has made a claim to law enforcement.

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that Arsen Avetisyan, Ruben Hayrapetyan, and the latter’s two bodyguards have been questioned in connection with this incident.

Armenian News-NEWS.am, however, could not get a comment from the FFA president regarding what had occurred.
