YEREVAN. – The youth, who were injured in a road accident in Armenia, are recovering.

Representatives from Saint Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center in capital city Yerevan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that nine of the injured were brought to them, eight have already been discharged, and the remaining patient will go home on Tuesday, after the medical examinations.

The young person, who was taken to the Sourb Astvatsamayr (Holy Mother of God) Medical Center in Yerevan, is in the surgery department. This youth has a broken rib and a lung fracture, but is in stable condition.

A bus carrying children had overturned Monday in the Gegharkunik Province. As a result, ten of the nineteen passengers had suffered injuries. First, they were taken to the Sevan town medical center, and subsequently, to Yerevan.

The bus was provided by the Ministry of Defense (MOD), and the youth were on their way to a camp in Gavar town.  

The young people said the bus driver’s blood pressure had risen while he was driving, he had felt ill, and as a result, they had an accident.
