YEREVAN. – The investigation is still in progress into the case involving the man who had shot his wife in hospital and then committed suicide. 

Press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia informed the aforesaid to Armenian News- NEWS.am.

To note, however, the criminal case that was opened into this incident was expected to be dropped. 

A tragic event had occurred on June 30 at the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, in capital city Yerevan. A man had come to the hospital, shot his wife who had given birth recently, and killed himself.

They live in Yerevan. The woman is Milena A., 27, and her husband, Hayk V., 33, had shot the woman in the neck and then committed suicide. He died on the spot, whereas the woman underwent surgery. The child she delivered also had health concerns. The woman was discharged from hospital one month later.

A criminal case was launched into this incident.
