YEREVAN. – Arsen Avetisyan—the 51 percent proprietor and also Director of Air Armenia airline company—has testified, said Avetisyan’s wife Izabella Melkumyan, speaking to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

She also informed that her husband will make a statement in the coming hours, whereupon answers to numerous questions will become clear to the public.

Avetisyan is still in the hospital, and he is in stable condition. At this point, however, it is not known when he will be discharged from hospital.

Arsen Avetisyan’s wife had earlier said that, on August 15, President of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), Ruben Hayrapetyan, had invited her husband to a meeting at the FFA academy in capital city Yerevan. During the talk, however, Hayrapetyan’s bodyguards had beaten Avetisyan. Subsequently, he was taken to hospital. 

According to various sources, Arsen Avetisyan and Ruben Hayrapetyan had argued over money.
