YEREVAN. – Air Armenia company director who was severely beaten on Sunday will be discharged from hospital today, spokesperson for the hospital said.

Alexandra Harutyunyan said the man is in a good condition and will be discharged on Thursday.

Arsen Avetisyan’s wife had earlier said that, on August 15, President of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), Ruben Hayrapetyan, had invited her husband to a meeting at the FFA academy in capital city Yerevan. During the talk, however, Hayrapetyan’s bodyguards had beaten Avetisyan. Subsequently, he was taken to hospital. 

According to various sources, Arsen Avetisyan and Ruben Hayrapetyan had argued over money.
