YEREVAN. – The criminal case, which was opened into the death of a five-year-old girl in an elevator in capital city Yerevan, has been dismissed.

Press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia informed about the above-said to Armenian News- NEWS.am.

The criminal case was dropped due to a lack of corpus delicti.

According to the preliminary version, on June 4, the elevator without doors of a house in Yerevan had gotten stuck between the third and fourth floors. As a result, the said girl inside the elevator had died, since she had remained between the concrete sector and the elevator.

On June 12, a criminal case was instituted, and pursuant to the Armenian Criminal Code article on the violation of labor protection rules and which has negligently caused the victim’s death.
