Turkey’s PM Ahmet Davutoğlu told in an interview with “Star” newspaper how his leftist classmates beat him for reading a poem during his studies in Istanbul Lyceum. According to him, in those years students were divided into rightists and leftists.

The story which occurred with the PM during his school years, sparked heated discussion in Twitter. Thus, one of the users named Kazim Olmez wrote: “Perhaps, he read the poem badly and thus paid for it.”

Another user, Ali ilcak, joined the discussion, adding: “Let the hands of the man, who beat this handsome child, break.”

One of the last comments, left by Edep yahu, reads: “Perhaps, the students then already saw the shame going on today. They didn’t beat him enough.”
