YEREVAN. – Armenia may hope for the assistance of France in preparations for new legal framework for the development of cooperation with EU, French Minister said in Yerevan.

Harlem Desir thanked his Armenian counterpart for hosting the 31st meeting of the OIF Ministerial Conference, noting that it is an opportunity to discuss Armenian-French relations, he added.

One of the key issues on the agenda is cooperation between Armenia and EU. In this context the French Minister noted that the mandate is expected to be confirmed in Luxemburg next week and will be followed by preparations for new legal framework. At the same time the Minister for European Affairs added that France respects Armenia’s decision to join Eurasian Economic Union.

“Armenia may expect assistance from France,” the Minister emphasized.
