STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), Bako Sahakyan, on Tuesday received OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Pierre Andrieu (France) and James Warlick (US) as well as Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, who is Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, and the individuals accompanying them.

The avenues for the settlement of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict and the situation along the borders were discussed at the meeting, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

Sahakyan noted that Azerbaijan’s aggressive policy, gross violations of the ceasefire, and rejection of any constructive proposals have endangered stability and peace in the region as well as the respective mediation mission being carried out.

The NKR President stressed that, above all, it is necessary to give new impetus to the maintenance of the ceasefire and to particularize the responsibility mechanisms for its violation, and added that Stepanakert stands ready to take an active part in this process.
