YEREVAN. – Armenia has lifted the ban on poultry imports from three US states.

On May 29, and to prevent the entry into Armenia of the Highly-Pathogenic Avian Influenza A (H5N2), (H5N8) which was recorded in the US, Armenia had banned the imports of live birds, poultry, raw material, eggs, meat and bone meal, feed, complementary feed, polymer and tuberous cardboard boxes, and tampons to Armenia from sixteen US states, and until the cancellation of this quarantine.

And based on the information regarding the eradication of this disease, and which is posted on the official website of the World Organisation for Animal Health,  Armenia on Tuesday lifted the aforesaid import ban from the US States of Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

On July 30, the poultry import ban had been lifted from the US States of Arkansas, California, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, and Washington.
