YEREVAN. – The IT sector in Armenia interests American investors.

US Ambassador Richard Mills told the above-said to reporters, and along the lines of Thursday’s meeting of the Armenian-American Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

Mills, responding to the query on which domains in Armenia the American investors are interested in—considering the small market of the country—, said they welcome the American investors’ initiatives toward looking into all domains.

The US diplomat added that they assist in Armenia’s agriculture, since they believe that it is the driving force of the country’s economic development.

Richard Mills said the tourism industry is also in the center of their attention, and a program toward tourism development in Armenia’s rural communities will kick off on Friday.
