YEREVAN. – The slump in Russian economy has resulted in a reduction in Armenia’s exports of beverages.

According to official data, Armenia’s beverage exports to the other CIS countries has decreased by almost 36.8 percent, from January to September.

However, this drop was compensated by 32.4 percent, with the growth in respective supplies to several other countries.

But the decline in sales of Armenia’s beverages has led to deterioration in a number of indicators in this domain.

Accordingly, labor productivity decreased by virtually 73 percent and around 16 percent in the country’s medium-sized and large beverage-producing enterprises, respectively, in the reporting period.

And within a year, the number of employees of the respective small and medium-sized enterprises reduced by 73 and 17 persons, correspondingly, whereas it went up by 92 persons, in the large beverage-producing enterprises of Armenia.
