YEREVAN. – Armenia and Serbia will develop cooperation in the defense sector, and the defense ministers of the two countries signed a respective document on Wednesday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan informed, at their joint news conference summing up the results of their talks, that the parties discussed international security and fight against terrorism.

Serbian Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić, in turn, expressed his joy at the fact that he is Serbia’s first defense minister to pay an official visit to Armenia ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, in 1994.

Gašić also noted that they held very useful talks and exchanged views on the present-day situation in the world, future military cooperation, and the exchange of credentials of the Armenian and Serbian military attachés.
