YEREVAN. – The fruit and vegetable exports of Armenia have increased by 68 percent and totaled 70,200 tons, since the beginning of the year.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Robert Makaryan, informed the aforesaid at a press conference on Wednesday.

As per Makaryan, the main exports continue being made to Russia, with the respective share in total exports being 84 percent, or 58,900 tons.

Fifteen percent, or 10,800, tons were exported to Georgia.

Small amount of fruits and vegetables were exported to Kuwait, UAE, Iran, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Poland, and Belarus.

“Moreover, the numbers are not final, since the exports continue,” the deputy minister added.
