President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a condolence letter to Emma Abaydullina over the death of her husband, Eldar Ryazanov.  

“It’s with sorrow that we learnt about the death of the film director, script writer, playwright, poet and pedagogue Eldar Ryazanov, beloved by everyone.

Many generations were educated on the examples of favorite and famous films by Eldar Ryazanov, which will not lose their significance and value even after decades. The loss of the great artist is a great loss for global cinematography,” the letter reads in part, Armenia president press-service reports.
