The adversary launched yet another intelligence-gathering and sabotage infiltration attempt, on Friday at around 4:30am, in a northeasterly direction (Talish) of the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces.

Vanguard units of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army, however, detected this advance by the special units of the Azerbaijan army, and they pushed them back to their starting positions, also causing them casualties. 

Unfortunately, NKR Defense Army serviceman Erik Grigoryan (born in 1995) sustained a fatal gunshot wound during the skirmish. 

An investigation is underway to find out the details of this incident.

In addition to this infiltration attempt, the adversary also violated the ceasefire along the Line of Contact around 80 times, from Thursday to early Friday morning.

During this time Azerbaijan fired more than 650 shots at the Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry, mortars, grenade launchers, and a reactive rocket propelled howitzer (TR-107). 

The adversary continues to breach the truce, and with the use of mortar and missile weapons.

The NKR Defense Army vanguard units are taking retaliatory actions to suppress this aggressive “activeness” by Azerbaijan.
