The U.S. Department of State has announced about a threat to the U.S. Consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul. All the citizens are today recommended not to visit the aforementioned institution, which is closed at weekends, Lifenews reports.   

According to the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), U.S. citizens are encouraged “to maintain a high level of vigilance, be aware of local events, and take the appropriate steps to bolster their personal security.”
