President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved the amendments to the law “On Azerbaijani citizenship.” The amendments stipulate revocation of citizenship for terrorist and anti-state activity.  

Moreover, people who took part in a terrorist activity and carried out actions aimed at the forced change of Azerbaijan's constitutional order will automatically lose their citizenship.   

Similar measures will be applied to the Azerbaijani citizens for carrying out religious extremist activity, as well as military training in a foreign state under the guise of religious education, disseminating of hostile religious movements and participating in religious conflicts in foreign states under the guise of religious rites, etc.
