The high-level meeting of the Mobility Partnership between Armenia and EU took place in Brussels today. The meeting aims to discuss the implementation process of the Joint Declaration signed between Armenia, EU and its ten member-states.  

The Armenian Delegation, which includes the head of the Migration Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations (MTAES), as well as representatives of Armenia’s Labor and Social Affairs Ministry, MFA and Armenian mission to EU, was led by Armenia’s Deputy FM Garen Nazarian. 

During the discussion with the Directorate-General (DG) Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission, representatives of EU member states and international organizations concerned, the Armenian side presented the reforms implemented in Armenia’s migration sphere. Besides, importance was attached to the continuous encouragement of communication between people, the possible launch of a dialogue on visa liberalization and programs aimed at the reintegration of Armenian citizens returning from EU countries.  

At the meeting, the sides recorded the implementation progress of the Joint Declaration on Mobility Partnership between Armenia and EU, agreeing to make the work of the institutions and organizations engaged, as well as the initiatives and programs more coordinated.
