Russia’s sanctions on Turkey, and in connection with the latter’s recent shooting down a Russian warplane, has caused considerable problems for Turkey’s tourism and agriculture.

Especially the tourism and agricultural losses are calculated in millions of dollars, reported Zaman daily of Turkey.

Even though Russia’s sanctions have hit Turkey’s popular tourism destination and agricultural hub Antalya Province very hard, Ankara has prohibited the businesses from speaking out about their losses incurred as a result of the Russian sanctions.

It is noted that if relations with Russia do not return to normal, a total of 1.5 million people in Turkey may become unemployed.
