YEREVAN. - Government of Armenia will put into order the process of presenting and submitting information related to years of service for pension formulation. The aforementioned proposal is included in the bill on amendments to the Law on State Pensions, which is currently considered by the Armenian Parliament.
According to Armen Yeghiazaryan, Director of the National Center for Legislation Regulation adjunct to the Armenian Government, inquiries to achieve (which have to be submitted in case the documents have not been preserved) will be submitted not by pensioners but the authorized body.
Requiring the pensioners to collect documents means to subject them to expenses and corruption risks, the explanatory note says.
Nevertheless, since 2008 these documents have become electronic, which means that it will be possible to get them electronically, thus avoiding corruption risks in communicating with officers.
In case the inquiry by the state does not confirm the years of service of a given citizen, it will be possible to require confirmation only through judicial means.
