YEREVAN. - Armenia will facilitate the meetings of the detainees and arrestees with their attorney. The corresponding proposals have been included in the bill on amendments to the Law on Treatment of Arrestees and Detainees (LTAD), which was introduced by Armenia's Deputy Minister of Justice Arman Tatoyan in the parliament Monday.
They will get the opportunity of meeting not only with the attorney working for their defense, but also the one who comes to agree on launching the defense. Such meetings can also be held on non-working days or hours with the guaranteed time of 2 hours.
It is proposed to allow the meeting of the detainees and arrestees with any attorney, even not involved in the case, even if the issue is related to certain legal support.
