The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The monitoring was held on Wednesday, and in the direction of Kayanavan village of Armenia’s Tavush Province, and Bala Cəfərli village in the Qazakh Rayon of Azerbaijan.
From the Armenian side of the border, the monitoring was conducted by field assistants Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic) and Yevgeny Sharov (Ukraine) of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office (CiO).
And from the opposite side of the border, the monitoring was held by staff member Peter Svedberg (Sweden) of the OSCE CiO Office, and personal assistant Simon Tiller (Great Britain) to the Personal Representative of the CiO.
The Azerbaijani side, however, did not lead the OSCE representatives to its vanguard military positions, and therefore a visual communication was not established at a distance of about 3km.
