YEREVAN. - The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, acknowledged the fact that Turkey has violated Armenia’s airspace. Ohanyan noted the aforementioned at a joint briefing today with the visiting Minister of National Defence of Greece, Panagiotis “Panos” Kammenos.

Responding to the question of a Greek journalist on Turkey’s conduct, Ohanyan said that in a non-war situation, neighbors should manifest tolerance in case of violations of airspace during military exercises and trainings. He also noted that Turkey violates the airspace of Greece almost every day and has even violated Armenia’s airspace.

“However we approached this with tolerance,” the Minister said, adding that Ankara didn’t have the right to down the Russian plane.
