YEREVAN. - At the coming session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 21, the heads of states will confirm the candidacy of Tigran Sargsyan as a chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission. Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told the aforementioned to the journalists, TASS reports.
“The leaders have agreed on the candidacy of the Board Chairman. Now this post is held by Viktor Khristenko. Starting from February 1 next year, Tigran Sargsyan, representative of Armenia, will hold that office,” Ushakov said.
He also noted that a decision has been made to change the number of the board composition: number of the representatives of each country will reduce from three to two.
Currently, Tigran Sargsyan is holding the post of the Armenian Ambassador to the U.S.
