MOSCOW. – The Collective Security Treaty Organization Collective Security Council (CSTO CSC) meeting kicked off Monday at the Kremlin, the Armenian News-NEWS.am special correspondent informed from Moscow.
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan chairs the CSTO CSC during the 2015/16 inter-session period.
The CSC comprises the leaders of the CSTO member states, which are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
The said meeting is convened in a narrow and plenary session format.
At the talk, the presidents of the CSTO countries are expected to exchange views on the present-day world situation, and confer on the main challenges of international security and the possible CSTO steps to address these challenges.
And as a result of this meeting, the CSTO leaders are expected to adopt a statement on confronting international terrorism, and sign CSC decisions regarding the rotations of the official figures of the permanent working bodies of the CSTO.
