YEREVAN. – The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided a US$749-thousand grant to Armenia to fight against corruption.

The respective agreement was approved at Thursday’s Armenian Cabinet meeting.

The government has decided to focus on combating corruption in four areas: Education, taxes and customs, health care, and police work with citizens.

The funds will be allocated in tranches. Moreover, before each subsequent tranche, the Armenian Anti-Corruption Council shall submit a work plan for the experts of this program.
