The Soviet regional court of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai has delivered a verdict against 22 participants of an assault on the Krasnodar café “Master pizza,” as a result of which one man died. The architect of the attack received the maximal term of imprisonment - 13 years of colony with a strict regime, RIA Novosti reports, citing Krasnodar Krai Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation data, in the night of May 11 last year, a group of people headed by Avanes Arzrumanyan and hiding behind masks and hoods, attacked the workers and visitors of the aforementioned café, armed with nonlethal pistols, wooden clubs, metallic sticks and other objects. 8 people were affected by the actions of the defendants; one of the victims died in the hospital as a result of the injuries sustained. The property of the café has also been damaged.

The court sentenced the rest of the participants of the assault from 8 months to 4 years of imprisonment, depending on the nature and their involvement level in the committed crimes.

Another four people who took part in the assault on the pizzeria have absconded from the investigation authorities. They have been put on the federal wanted list.
