YEREVAN. – Two Armenian companies have offered bids to the state, to enter the civil aviation market.

Head of the Civil Aviation Policy Department at the Ministry of Economy, Anna Chobanyan, on Friday told the aforesaid to reporters.

“[But] I can’t yet inform [you] which companies they are because the bids are still at the phase of document preparation,” Chobanyan added.

Armavia, which was the national carrier of Armenia, had ended its passenger flights in April 2013.  

And Air Armenia, which had launched passenger flights in late 2013, had ended them about a year ago. But this airline conducts cargo flights since 2003.
