YEREVAN. - According to the results of 2015, 524 companies included in the Large Taxpayer Tax Inspections at Armenia’s Finance Ministry will pay taxes in the amount of 383.3 bln AMD (approx. $798 mln), or 9 percent more than in 2014, Head of the Large Taxpayer Tax Inspection Rafik Mashadyan said. 

Nearly 40 percent of the mentioned amount will be paid by top ten taxpayers: Gazprom Armenia, Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine, K-Telekom, Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), ArmenTel, Grand Tobacco, Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, International Masis Tabak, Ameriabank and Transgas. They paid 151,8 bln AMD as compared to 142,8 bln in 2014.

“This year 37 percent growth in tax payment has been recorded in retail trade, 33 percent in dairy production, 21 percent in tobacco import, manufacturing and sale, and 18 percent in mining industry,” Mashadyan said.

Reduction of payments has been observed in the area of telecommunications (24,3 percent) and alcohol (manufacturing, import and sale) (18 percent).

At average, the tax burden on business increased by 0.4 percent, the VAT growing by 0.6 percent. No changes have been observed in the income tax.
