YEREVAN. - Armenia will face no egg deficit during the New Year holidays. Representative of the Union of Poultry Breeders of Armenia, Sergey Stepanyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.
During the previous years, either excess or deficit of eggs was observed at the factories. Now, through trial and error, the market has become self-regulated and produces according to its needs.
“We consider excess as a loss; it’s impossible to sell it. Our, as well as neighboring markets have no room. And no one wants to work at a sacrifice, thus the factories produce as much as needed, leaving the reserves which are constantly refreshed. These reserves are absolutely enough for the holidays,” Stepanyan said.
According to him, one of the factories tried to raise the price, but it saw it could be replaced by others in the market. This comes to prove that the market already protects itself from imbalances.
