YEREVAN. – The Armenian Youth Federation of Canada on Saturday carried out protest actions in Ottawa, and devoted to the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Over 100 activists distributed pamphlets of awareness at the busy streets and intersections of the Canadian capital city, and with respect to the genocide and Turkey’s continued denialism of this tragedy.

Subsequently, the activists held a march of demonstration where they were tied to one another with ropes, symbolizing the Armenians’ mass deportation during the genocide. At the end of the march, they staged mass killings, by lying on the ground.

In the evening, the youth group held a candlelight procession toward the Turkish embassy, where thousands will assemble on Sunday, April 24, 2016—the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide—, to protest against the genocide denial policy of Turkey.
