First Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, who is on a working visit to Germany, had meetings at the German Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs Tuesday. He specifically met with the Director General on Defense Ministry Political Affairs Doctor Fon Geyer and head of German presidency coordinating group in OSCE, Ms Anite Lenderts. 

Armenian Ambassador to Germany Ashot Smbatyan and Defence Attaché, Col. Mesrop Nazaryan also took part in the meetings.

Issues on Armenian-German military cooperation, as well as prospects for the joint participation in the UN peacekeeping missions were discussed. The sides also conferred on the issues of reinforcing the ceasefire regime in the zone of Karabakh conflict, as well as the opportunity to speedy use of incident investigation mechanisms on the Line of Contact between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces.  

Tonoyan will also hold meetings in the German Chancellor’s administration Wednesday.
