YEREVAN. – The slogan and logo of Pope Francis’ forthcoming visit to Armenia have been approved.

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Presidential Press Office of Armenia that the respective slogan is: “Visit to the First Christian Nation.”

And the images of Khor Virap Monastery, in Ararat Province, and Biblical Mount Ararat are at the basis of the circular logo.

The colors of this logo are purple and yellow, which are the official colors of the Armenian Apostolic and the Roman Catholic Churches.

The logo includes the coats of arms of the two churches.

Pope Francis will visit Armenia from June 24 to 26.
