YEREVAN. - Exhibition entitled “New prospects for Syrian Armenians” opened in the framework of “Week of Economic Opportunities (WEO)” business forum Wednesday.

The forum held at Yerevan Expo Exhibition Complex in the framework of the GIZ program entitled “Economic Integration of Syrian refugees in Armenia” will last till May 22.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan also attended the official opening of the exhibition.

Syrian Armenian businessman, director of Mosini sports apparel shop, Movses Galajian, told Armenian News – NEWS.am that this is a family business with a 30-year history.

“Now we are doing this business in Armenia. Everything you see in this pavilion has been produced in Yerevan. It’s only a month our shop has opened, and we already think not only about a local market, but also about the export of our production to Russia and other countries included in the Eurasian Economic Union,” the businessman stressed.   

Manufacturer of Ava Shoes, Andranik Safar, for his part said that their family business has achieved success in Armenia during two years. Moreover, according to him, they export high-quality natural leather shoes to Russia, as well as Arabic and European countries.
