YEREVAN. – The staff of the Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) will make a joint efforts, for the next three years, to improve the protection of children’s rights in Armenia.

The Ombudsman’s office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the two partners will take joint steps toward the capacity building of the specialized department of children’s rights that will be set up within the staff of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, study the mechanism for receiving petitions and complaints from children, and develop the 2016-2018 priorities of and common strategy for the protection of children’s rights in the country.
