Russia is not a threat for the NATO allies. The Alliance is ready for a hybrid and information war, though, said the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with the Polish television, reports Ria Novosti.
According to Jens Stoltenberg the reason that the NATO is strengthening its collective defense is Russia's behavior. However, he made it clear that the NATO does not want any confrontation with Russia, avoids any competition of arms, and will do everything to hold a constructive dialogue with Russia.
The NATO Secretary General responded positively to the question of the host whether the Alliance is ready for a new hybrid and information warfare. He assured that the NATO is ready to defend its allies against any threats and informed that the NATO develops new solutions for so called hybrid, military and non- military threats, including a strategy in the information war and against propaganda.
According to Stoltenberg, Russia is not a threat to NATO, since the NATO has efficient methods of deterrence and defense. At the same time, the NATO does not have any intentions to wage a war, but wants to avoid it.
