Following the Armenian Genocide recognition by German Bundestag, the Turkish MPs who voted for its adoption still continue to get death threats and offences from their extremist compatriots.

In connection with this, Bundestag’s Left Party MP Sevim Dağdelen announced that all those who threaten the Bundestag MPs, including Erdoğan, should be banned from entry to Germany, the MP said in an interview with Bild and Sonntag.

According to her, a campaign has been launched against him in social networks: he got death threats and offences, even being named “Armenian prostitute.” Moreover, one of the users wrote: “100,000 euro award to the one who shoots her in her head”.

Erdoğan himself violently responded to the Bundestag resolution, stating that the blood of Bundestag’s Turkish MPs, who voted for the resolution, should be tested.

MP Dağdelen and Bundestag’s 10 other Turkish MPs were threatened to be killed by the Turkish extremists, their personal data being even published in newspapers and mosques.

Sevim Dağdelen stated that Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel should respond to such attacks by Erdoğan.

Currently, Bundestag’s Turkish MPs have been placed under 24-hour police protection, since Erdoğan compared them with terrorists and urged to test their blood.

They were also warned against visiting Turkey, since their security cannot be ensured there.

For her part, Aydan Özoğuz, social democrat of Turkish descent, urged Germany-based Turkish companies to express precise position and condemn the death threats. “We expect the Germany-based Turkish companies to evidently condemn the threats addressed to the MPs. Everyone should already realize that we stay true to our origin, but we are not an extension of Turkey here,” she said.
