Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan  is upset by the condition of economic and political ties with the U.S. and Russia.

He stated that Ankara was full of hope when the U.S. President Barack Obama chose Turkey as the first country of his foreign visit, Hurriyet reports.

“Unfortunately, our hopes did not come true. The economic ties with the U.S. degraded; the foreign policy expectations also proved futile,” Erdoğan stated. In his words, Obama abandoned Iraq, but moved the troops to Afghanistan. He decided the problem of Guantanamo Bay detention camp similarly.

The Turkish President is especially saddened by the cooperation between the U.S. and PYD, composed of Syrian Kurds, against the IP. Besides, he is dissatisfied with the relations with Russia.

“Our friendship with Putin took the relations between Ankara and Moscow to an unprecedentedly high level. I hope the ties between our countries will again normalize and become even stronger than before,” he noted.
