The South Ossetian MPs are planning to discuss, at the forthcoming session, the matter of recognition of 1915 Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, Interfax news agency reported citing the press service of the Parliament of South Ossetia.

“Some MPs have noted that Armenia likewise should recognize the genocide of the Ossetians, but this is not fundamental. What is fundamental is that the representatives of the Armenian diaspora are full members of the South Ossetian society, many of them have fought for the independence of our Republic (…), and many of them are the descendants of the Armenians who had escaped the genocide,” the statement specifically reads.
