YEREVAN. – A trilateral meeting, led by Russian President Vladimir Putin and with the format of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, will be held on June 20 in Petersburg, Russia, and regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, wrote Irates newspaper of Armenia.

“[With organizing this talk,] Russia is attempting to not only keep the game entirely in his hands, but to see to it that the region remains under its influence, forever.

“What can be expected from the meeting, about which the OSCE [i.e. the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe] found it necessary to say, ‘It has nothing to do with me, I’m not in, if you can, do it, Russia!?’ It is clear: The OSCE co-chairmanship knows, and all the years that passed have proved, that such attempts by Russia are doomed to failure.

“There will be no progress, no document [signed] in the expected meeting.

“The bad [thing] is that the OSCE MG [i.e. the Minsk Group] was inconsistent, just like it.

“It will not be easy for the Armenian side in Saint Petersburg because, just as in the four-day [war which Azerbaijan had unleashed against Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh)] in April, Russia and Azerbaijan will play against us in tandem,” wrote Irates.
