Estonian director of the International Centre for Defence and Security Jüri Luik stated that the British battalion of NATO will be deployed in Estonia.

British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon confirmed on June 14 that his country will form one of the battalions of NATO which will be sent to the Baltic countries and Poland starting from 2017, RIA Novosti reported.

Speaking at the London Royal United Services Institute on Monday Luik noted that this had not been announced officially yet, but now he can say that the British battalion will be located in Estonia.

In 2012-2015, Lyuik was Estonia's ambassador to Russia, and from 2007 to 2012 he worked as the Permanent Representative of Estonia to NATO.
